Who am I?

My name is Arthur G Fidalgo. I am a PhD student in Mathematics at Fluminense Federal University. My professional interests are Hyperbolic Geometry, Algebraic Number Theory, and Algebraic Combinatorics. I am a fan of George Pólya, and I believe that How To Solve It should be required reading in any school.

Outside my professional interests, I am a big fan of simulation games, particularly Euro Truck Simulator 2, and I enjoy watching sports like football and baseball. I support Flamengo and, unfortunately for my sanity, the Los Angeles Angels. As every football fan who appreciates good old mathematics, I have logged thousands of hours across many versions of Football Manager.

What is this site?

This site is, above all, a place where people looking for information about me can find it. At the top of this section, you will find links to other pages where you can find my work, publications, and maybe even recordings of presentations. If I have the patience to keep this page updated, you might even find some ideas that I want to share with the world.

And why do it this way?

I used to have one of those drag-and-drop Google sites. But it's much cooler to do it in HTML like in the old days. It looks more like the person who created it. It's fun.
